DELBRIDGE (ISAAC), EVELYN E. – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Swartz Creek age 97, died Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023
at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint,
The Very Reverend Father Joseph Abud officiating.
Burial in Flushing Cemetery immediately following the Meal of Mercy.
Contributions may be made to either St. George Ladies Auxiliary or St. George Orthodox Church.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
A Trisagion Service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church until the time of the service.
Evelyn was born in Bethlehem, Palestine on December 16, 1925, the daughter of Elias and Zuha Khoury.
On April 16, 1960, she married James Delbridge in Swartz Creek and he preceded her in death, after 58 years.
She was a long-standing member of St. George Orthodox Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are son, Roger and wife Sandy Isaac of Flushing;
granddaughter, Stephanie and husband Brian Silpoch of Grand Blanc;
grandson, Scott Lawrence of Flushing;
great-grandchildren, Abbey Lawrence, Brendan Silpoch and Lauren Silpoch;
sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (James) Fonger,
Daisy Isaac, Georgette Khoury and Shirley Delbridge;
many nieces, nephews, Godchildren and special family Monica, Max and Mason.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew; her parents, Elias and Zuha Khoury; brothers, Raji, Emil, Samir and Nabil.
Special thanks to the staff at Tranquility Estates for the past 5 years, and the medical staff and team at Ascension Genesys ICU.
