Szukhent, Jeffrey Allen of Flushing, age 62, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Jeffrey was born in Lakewood Ohio on February 25, 1963, the son of Mike and Paddy (Kovacs) Szukhent, and he resided there until his family relocated to Flushing in 1975. Known by many names like “Jeff”, “Zooman”, “Gerth”, & “Papa” he was quick with a wit but even quicker to lend a helping hand. Jeff was a salesman by trade, a locally renowned chef, a master handyman, a gifted musician, an intrepid traveler, an odds maker in his leisure time, and an enthusiastic boatsman whenever possible. Jeff truly was a “Jack of All Trades”.
Most importantly, Jeff was a son to Ted and Pat; brother to Mike, Joel, Terri, and Brenda; husband to Janelle; father to Ryan, Jessica, Blake and Alec; father-in-law to Katie, Mike, Alexcia, and Zenaida; grandfather to Talan, Kenzington, Atlas, Archer, and Amelia. He was a friend, a confidante, and a business partner to countless others and is deeply missed by many more than those mentioned above. His ambitious personality and enduring laugh continue to resound in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Jeff was preceded in death by two people he cherished deeply: his mother, Pat, and his granddaughter, Kenzington. |
