JONES, Lorene Mae (Stow) Burwell – of Davison, MI, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Greg Rowan officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 and 10-11 AM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Lorene’s memory.
Lorene was born in Flint, MI on April 7, 1928, daughter of the late Lorn and Retha (Hutchinson) Stow. She married Gilbert L. Burwell in 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1983. Lorene later married Martin Jones who also preceded her in death. She was a church secretary at Calvary Presbyterian Church and Bethany Presbyterian Church. Lorene was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Davison.
Lorene is survived by 3 children, Sharon (Jeff) Ecklebecker, Diane (Bruce) Dunn and Gary (Kelly) Burwell; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends.
