Eugene John Emmendorfer
Age 91 of New Lothrop passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 11, 2021 at St. Mary's Church of Albee. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Sunday, October 10th from 2:00 to 6:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 6:00pm, and at the church on Monday from 10:00am until the service.
Eugene was born on November 11, 1929 to Raymond and Lucille (Birchmeier) Emmendorfer in Saginaw. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953. Eugene married Virginia "Kate" Boliski on November 28, 1953; they celebrated 67 years of marriage and raised 8 children together.
Eugene spent 47 years working as a farmer and mechanic, and enjoyed 26 years of retirement. He enjoyed traveling, farming, and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Virginia "Kate" Emmendorfer; his children, Joan Emmendorfer, Linda Woodruff (Scott Mitchell), Eugene P. (Susan) Emmendorfer, Raymond (Dana) Emmendorfer, Lucille (Brett) Mutchler, Robert Emmendorfer, Kathryn Emmendorfer, and Julie (Kevin) Struck; his grandchildren, Byron, Brad, Katrina, Brianna, Erica, Bryce, Josh, and Matt; great-grandchildren, William and Isabella; many step-grandchildren; and his siblings, Clete Emmendorfer, Richard Emmendorfer, Betty Toma, and Agnes Bofill.
He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Lucy Emmendorfer; his brothers, Louis, Bernard, Donald, Arthur, Norbert, and Arnold; his sisters, Pauline and Rose Marie; and his grandson, Andrew Emmendorfer.
