Fogelsonger, Joseph Lloyd– of Clio, age 70, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, with Pastor Jason Georges officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Born on November 29, 1955, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Lloyd and Ruth (Hilsinger) Fogelsonger, Joe graduated from Clio High School in 1973 and went on to earn his Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan. More than anything, Joe’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was immensely proud of all three of his children and truly loved being their dad. In February 2017, he married his wife, Doris, with whom he shared a warm and loving home and many wonderful memories. His role as a husband, father, and papa was the one he treasured most, and there was nothing more important to him than the people he loved.
Joe dedicated many years to sales at D&W Windows, bringing his signature warmth and enthusiasm to colleagues and clients alike. He attended church services at Immanuel Baptist Church, where he found great fellowship and community. Music was also an important part of Joe’s life. A talented musician, he loved playing both the keyboard and guitar. He was a passionate Michigan Wolverines fan, an avid golfer, and loved putting his knowledge to the test with trivia games. Above all, his big heart and caring nature made him a devoted husband, dad, and papa. His love and laughter will live on in the family he cherished and in the many lives he touched.
Surviving are: Wife: Doris Fogelsonger; Children: Kristen Goodrich, Rachel (Jeff) White, and Brandon (Brittany) Fogelsonger; Grandchildren: Scarlett Fogelsonger, Lennon Fogelsonger, and Peyton Carter; Brothers: Paul (Sharon) Fogelsonger and Jon Fogelsonger; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
