Lockrey, James Terry, age 77, of Lapeer, passed away on March 31, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. James was born on March 9, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Dale and Virginia (Miller) Lockrey. He retired from General Motors, where he worked as an electrician with Buick Motor Company. Jim was a NASCAR enthusiast and volunteered for many years at Davison Schools, where he was lovingly known by the children as “Grandpa Jim.” He is survived by his wife, Connie; two daughters, Jennifer Lockrey and Wendy Lockrey; bonus son, Nick Miller; four grandchildren, Cameron (Lynsey) Hogg, Callie Hogg, Dakota Cooper, and Hunter Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Maverick and Connor Hogg; and his brother, Bob Lockrey. Jim considered himself a lucky man because of the many wonderful people in his life whom he called friends. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473.
