BENNETT, James H. – of Clio, age 86, died on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence with family by his side. The family will receive visitors on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11AM until 2PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in West Vienna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or Carriage Town Ministries.
James was born May 5, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to the late Bruce and Elizabeth (Voss) Bennett. He graduated from Clio High School in 1952. James married Catherine Bennett on January 28, 1956 at West Vienna United Methodist Church in Clio. Mr. Bennett retired from General Motors as a machine operator in 1982 with 30 years of service. He was a member of West Vienna Methodist Church in Clio. James enjoyed working on tractors and attending tractor shows.
Surviving are: Wife, Catherine Bennett; Children: Jamie (Darlene) Bennett, Mark “Jeff” Bennett, Joe Bennett, Jorge Bennett, and Jennifer (Scott) Wilbanks; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. James was also preceded in death by: Grandchildren: Joshua Bennett, and Candace Bennett; Siblings: Bruce Bennett, Beth Mary Clontz, and Virginia St. Armour.
