BEDNARCZYK, Hedwig “Hedy” C. – of Burton, MI, age 92, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center-Briarwood. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. William Wegher officiating. Interment immediately following the Liturgy in All Saints Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Hedy’s memory.
Hedy was born March 31, 1926 in Flint, MI, daughter of the late Anthony and Constance (Bandurski) Bednarczyk. She was a graduate of Northern High School. After graduation, Hedy worked as the Supervisor of the Abstract department at Guaranty Title Company. She worked there for over 40 years. Hedy was a member of All Saints Church and St. Anthony’s Society. She loved to cook, play cards, watch sports and was a voracious reader.
Hedy leaves behind nieces and nephews, Charlene A. Kowalski, Anthony G. Kowalski, Arthur (Sandra) G. Dasczynski, Anna Marie (Doug) Dorhman, Megan and Mariah Dasczynski, Eric Dasczynski, Spencer Dohrman and Katrina Kowalski; dear friends, Wilson, David, Christopher and Paul Carb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Constance (Bandurski) Bednarczyk; 3 sisters, Virginia Bednarczyk, Sophie (Bednarczyk) Kowalski and Stella (Bednarczyk) Dasczynski; 2 brothers-in-law, Charles M. Kowalski and Arthur A. Dasczynski.
