WELLISLEY, Martha Louise – of Flushing, age 86, died Friday, February 12, 2021 at Flagstone AFC Home. Honoring Martha’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Flushing Moose Lodge # 1437.
Martha was born January 5, 1935 in Clio, Michigan to the late James and Alice (Hoffman) Poole. She grew up in the Esty, Michigan and Pinconning, Michigan area. Martha graduated from Pinconning High School with the class of 1953. On February 7, 1953 she married Carl Wellisley in Rhoades, Michigan and they were married 61 years before he preceded her in death on March 16, 2014. Martha was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge # 1437 and the Women of the Moose # 736. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Children, Eugene (Mary) Wellisley, Keith (June) Wellisley, Darlene Wellisley, Gary (Melody) Wellisley; 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great – Great Grandchildren; Sister, Pat Simonsen.
