Margaret T. Engwall, 87, of Viola, IL. Died Tuesday April 12, 2011 in her home. Services are 10:00 AM Friday at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aledo. Burial is in the Viola Cemetery. She was born December 7, 1923 in Streepyville, IA to Antonio and Mary Micetich Azzolin. She graduated from the Centerville, Iowa High School and attended Moline Public School of Nursing in Moline, IL. She married Earl L. Engwall March 2, 1946 in Rock Island, IL. He died January 24. 1989.
Margaret was employed in the Cafeteria for the Winola School District for 26 years retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, the WELCA and the Altar Guild. She served on the Board of Directors for the Viola Cemetery Association, was a Republican Election Judge for many years and was a volunteer with the R.O.A.R. reading program at Winola.
She loved to cook, read cook books; do word searches and watch Cardinal baseball.
Visitation is from 5-8 PM Thursday at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo where memorials may be left to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of the U.S.
