SQUIRES, Jerry L. – of Columbiaville, MI, age 76, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. David Miller officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018 and 12-1 PM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Jerry’s memory.

Jerry was born in Flint, MI on December 29, 1941, son of the late Albert L. and Alice M. (Truxton) Squires. He married Linda “Lyn” M. Laurin on August 14, 1965. Jerry retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug in 1996 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed antiquing, visiting garage sales and flea markets where he made many friends. Jerry loved antique cars, especially his 1968 Ford Mustang. He adored his wife and children, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lyn; 3 sons, Jeff (Allison) Squires, Joe (Tricia) Squires and Jason (April) Squires; 9 grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandra, Cody, Hannah, Joshua, Olivia, Sarah, Ayden and Jaxon; brother, Robert J. Squires; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
