TINNIN, Lois Jean – of Clio, age 85, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at her home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ted Stephens officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to the North End Baptist Church WMU Ladies Group.
Lois was born October 7, 1933 in Clare, Michigan to the late John and Winifred (King) Sherman. She graduated from Northern High School in Flint, Michigan with the class of 1951. On January 20, 1961 she married Melvin Tinnin in Flint, Michigan and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2018. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she worked for Buick and AC Spark Plug for 30 years as an Executive Secretary. Lois has resided in Clio for the last 30 years and was a member of the North End Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, needlework, watching birds, and playing cards with her WMU ladies group. Lois also enjoyed spending winters in Zephyrhills, Florida with her husband Melvin and her cat Max.
Surviving are: Children, Melvin (Jacqueline) Tinnin, Brenda Clark, Terry (Shellby) Russell; Grandchildren, Wade Tinnin, Michael Tinnin, Tiffany Shier, Aron (Chris) Hitchcock, Corey (Samantha) Palovich, Amanda Russell, Jeremi (Andrea) Russell, Tarah Russell, Caitlin Russell; 13 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Melvin; Sister, Nelda (Jack) Hunt; Brother, James (Sharon) Sherman.
