KIRK, Gail M. – of Flushing, age 71, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at Hyde Park Memory Care in Flushing.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Kenneth Sharp officiating. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Mt. Morris City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of services at 2PM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Gail was born September 6, 1942 in Flint, MI to the late Frank and Gwendolyn (White) Hopkins. She was a graduate of Hurley School of Nursing. Gail married Walter Kirk on August 17, 1963 at Bethany United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1989. She was a Master Gardener and enjoyed painting, quilting and fishing. Gail was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a loving mother to all.
Surviving are; son, Aaron (Julya) Kirk of Clio; daughters, Shawn Kirk of Flint and Holly (Clay) Morton of Oregon; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Lia Kirk of Clio; brother, Gary (Roberta) Hopkins of Lake Fenton; nieces; nephews and cousins.
