LUCE, Richard J. “Dick” – of Clio, age 88, died peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, at McLaren Flint. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. No services will be held.
Richard was born April 23, 1935, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Sid and Bernice (Grandy) Luce. He served in the Army National Guard for several years. Dick worked at General Motors – Buick for 30 years before retiring. He was a simple man that enjoyed collecting guns, tinkering in his garage, and spending time outdoors – especially at Trout Lake and taking scenic drives in his truck with his dog. Dick also enjoyed visiting his special friends - Tammy, and Cheryl at Ernie’s Party Store. He loved all animals and took special care of the strays and feeding the wild animals. Above all, he loved shopping with his daughter, Sherry, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughter, Sherry (Rick) Briggs; Sons: Jeff Luce, and Brian Luce; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by: Daughter, Jenny Luce in 1974; Sons: Dicky Luce in 2016, and Gary Luce in 2022.
