DEJOURNETT, Carolyn – of Davison, age 78, passed away January 12, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, January 16, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday.
Carolyn was born in Holcomb, Missouri on December 23, 1936, daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Tanner) Greer, Sr. She was a Flint Central graduate. Carolyn married James DeJournett in Flint, MI on February 3, 1957. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, but most of all, loved her family.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband and soulmate, James; children, James (Linda) Ross, Robert (Linda) Ross, Charles DeJournett and Brian (Sheila) DeJournett; grandchildren, Kevin Ross, Katie (Mike) Roebuck, Courtney Wade, Walter DuFore and Christopher DeJournett; great-grandchildren, Pierson Roebuck and Ethan Wade; special sister-in-law, Doris Zillich; sisters, Betty Thompson, Olive (Joe) Rodgerson and Judy (Mike) Long; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Price and brother, Charles Greer, Jr.
