BOIS, Patricia – of Mt. Morris, age 79, died peacefully Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 3PM Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Honoring Patricia’s wishes, cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Genesee County Animal Control.
Patricia was born March 9, 1944, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, to the late Earl and Yvonne (Valley) Bois. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Mt. Morris with the class of 1962. Until her retirement, Pat proudly worked as a houseparent at the Michigan School for the Deaf where she spent time improving the lives of children living away from their homes. She was actively involved with their yearly production of the Singing Hands group stage shows, which she loved to do. Pat was an avid quilter and gifted many family members with beautiful quilts. In her spare time, she loved scrapbooking and made separate books for each family. Patricia was very interested in the group Pug Rescue of Michigan and had opened her home to many pugs over the years, including her latest furry friend, Maggie. She was a proudly independent woman and a fine example of a strong woman who was fully capable of taking care of herself.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her siblings: Brenda (Phil) Merrill and Michael (Sharon) Bois; Sister-in-law: Kay Bois; Nieces and nephews: Cindy (Merrill) Arkills, Paula (Merrill) Lossing, Ryan Merrill, David, Tom, Kevin, and Jeremy Bois, Lori (Bois) Stimac, Dena (Bois) Ely, Karry (Bois) Pitkin; Many beloved great nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Yvonne; Brother, Daniel Bois; Niece, Danell (Bois) Davis. |
