Kelly was born June 13th, 1988, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Matthew and Barbara (Gough) Rekowski and was raised in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 2006 and from Washtenaw Community College.
Kelly was a loving daughter, mother, sister, cousin, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched countless lives. She had a beautiful way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued, and she formed lasting friendships wherever she went. Thoughtful, generous, and always willing to help others, she lived with a servant's heart and a genuine love for people.
One of Kelly's greatest joys was spending time with her family at Higgins Lake. She treasured the many gatherings filled with laughter, sunshine, and memories made alongside her parents, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Whether she was out on the boat, relaxing by the water, or simply enjoying the company of those she loved, those moments brought her immense happiness. She especially enjoyed boating and kayaking with her dad. One of her greatest joys was watching the special bond between her dad and her beloved son, Kayson. She also cherished her trips to Florida, where she enjoyed making memories in the sun with her mom and stepdad.
Above all else, Kelly's greatest love was her son, Kayson. He was her entire world, her purpose, and her greatest blessing. Every decision she made and every dream she pursued was centered around him. She was a devoted mother whose love for her son knew no bounds, and the memories she created with him will remain a lasting gift.
She embraced life with joy, laughter, and a grateful heart. Though her time here was far too short, she filled her years with love, faith, and meaningful connections.
Her faith was an important part of who she was. She faithfully attended church and Bible study at The Rock, where she found encouragement, friendship, and a deeper relationship with God.
While our family and friends grieve the many plans and dreams left unfinished, we find comfort in knowing that she will now be reunited with her beloved sister, Jenna, whom she missed dearly every day. Kelly leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Kelly is survived by her parents Matthew Rekowski and Barbara (Andrew) Henry, stepsister Jenny (Justin) Gardiner, Ben (Katie) Henry, Josh Henry, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by Grandparents Jerry and Joan Rekowski, Marvin and Norma Gough, Sister Jenna Rekowski, Uncle Paul Rekowski, Aunt Monica Rekowski, Aunt Phyllis Anders and Cousin Joe Skuta.
