MCKNIGHT, GIDEON– Of Flint Township, age 97, died Monday, August 4, 2025, at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held at 12noon Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Faith Missionary Church, 1327 Elms Road Flint. Pastor Brent Kriesch and Pastor James Keller officiating. Live Stream Link below.

Visitation will be 3-8 pm Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Flint and Wednesday 11am till the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Missionary Church.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Gideon was born in Puxico, MO, on April 14, 1928, the son of the late John and Mayme (Smiley) McKnight. Gideon married Marian Nettles in Angola Indiana on July 22, 1950. Gideon faithfully attended Faith Missionary Church, he served in the US Army. Loved southern gospel/quartet music. He was known as a handy man who enjoyed metal detecting, traveling, camping and campfires. He retired from GM Chevrolet.
Surviving are his children, Janet and husband Loyd Bartholomew of Swartz Creek, Denton McKnight of Flint Township; grandchildren, Janelle (Jeff) Hittle, Jared (Angie) Field and Justin (Erin) Bartholomew; great-grandchildren, Jaedyn, Gideon, Alice, Sophia and Lennon.
He was preceded in death by, his wife Marian, siblings, Earl, Mary, Mattie, Norma, Phil, JD and Juanita.
