Hamman, Marguerite Susan - Age 72, of Davison, formerly of Flint, died at home with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Private family services will be held at a later date at Flint Memorial Park. Per Marguerite's wishes she will be cremated and join her son Manuel at Flint Memorial Park. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions in Marguerites's memory to Genesee County Humane Society. Marguerite was born August 29, 1947 in Flint, the daughter of George and Julia (King) Kovacs. She married David Hamman, he preceded her in death May 8, 2016. Marguerite worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint and Genesys Regional Medical Center in the medical records department before retiring in January 2010 with 30 years of service. She had many friends, loved to travel taking many trips with family and friends. Marguerite was a member of First Spanish Baptist Church and also Emmanuel Baptist Church. "Mom" was a kind, loving and caring person who always put others needs first. She loved her 5 grandchildren. Marguerite traveled to Hammond, Louisiana where she started recording the family tree. While there she enjoyed side trips to New Orleans. She took many trips with her mom and twin granddaughters up north. Marguerite is survived by her children, Angelita (Brian) Miller, Carolina Gonzalez.(Michael Kennedy); grandchildren, Melissa Miller (Garrett Mancillas) and Michelle Miller, Christian and Coco Kennedy, Jennifer McCarthy; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, George (Annette) Kovacs, Gloria (Thomas) Ruddy; special nieces Becky Gomez and Gail Frost. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia (King) Kovacs; father, George Kovacs; son, Manuel Gonzalez. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
