BURT, Gerald Graham “Grave Digger” – of Clio, age 83, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at McLaren Flint. Honoring Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Masonic Vienna Lodge # 205 in Clio, Michigan. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Gerald was born September 6, 1940 in Clio, Michigan to the late Hazen and Juanita (Ford) Burt. He was a lifelong resident of Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1959. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Gerald worked for West Vienna, Pine Run, and Woodlawn Cemeteries. He also worked for GM as a Tool Crib Attendant at Fisher 1 and transferred to Buick City in 1986 with 50 years of service. He enjoyed watching the races at all the local tracks and watching movies. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Sons, Mike (Debbie) Burt, Tim (Bobbie) Burt; Daughter in law, Laura Burt; 6 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Jeff Burt; Sister, Marilyn Cook. Please sign our guestbook or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com
