DUNCAN, JOYCE E. - Of Swartz Creek, age 84, passed away Friday June 10, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Father Louis Ekka officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the funeral home.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring, may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Joyce was born on December 21, 1941 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Fred and Hannah (Ashley) Bryan.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Joyce retired from GM in 1999 after 37 years of service. She enjoyed baking, knitting, sewing, crocheting and doing crafts.
She is survived by her husband Simon Rashotte; sons, John Duncan and wife Christine Klee-Duncan, Thomas Duncan; grandson, Benjamin (Alexis) Aurand; granddaughter, Danielle Sluiter; stepdaughters, Cathy Sluiter and Carol Rashotte; sister-in-law, Marcia Bryan; special niece Marlene Wanke, and many other loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas, John, Fred, Doris, William and Marlene.
