LONG, Wilma Jean. – of Clio, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center with family by her side. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Wayne Vann officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 4PM until 8PM and Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Wilma was born June 18, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Evelyn (Holbeck) Stanley. She graduated from Beecher High School in 1959. Wilma was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. She enjoyed playing Bingo, word searches, watching auto racing, and game shows. Wilma also enjoyed collecting bells and fire trucks. Above all, Wilma loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Sons: Ted (Wendy) Long, and Danny Long; Daughters: Karen (Tim) Helzerman, and Debbie Long (Jeremy); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; Siblings: Judy Shelby, Fred Stanley, Elaine Stanley, and Janet (Randy) Schermerhorn.
