Herbert (Tommy/Red) Walter Wascher, age 91 of Flint, Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. He was born on October 17, 1931, in Flint to parents Herbert and Bernice (Wilson) Wascher. Funeral Arrangements have been made through Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland Street Flint, Michigan 48503. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 7 at 10:00 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly MI. 48442. He grew up on the East side of Flint, graduating from Central High School. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Navy where he served from 1952-1956. He worked at Tom Ryan Distributors where he later retired.
Herbert enjoyed spending time at his cottage fishing and hunting. He could often be found on the golf course with his league partners. Above all, Herbert will be remembered for being a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Herbert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sara Wascher; child: Lori Langs (Jeff); grandchildren: Steven Langs (Dana), Elizabeth
Swinney (Daniel), and great-grandchildren Aidan and Lana Kate.
