BOONE, Michael – of Clio, formerly of Montrose, age 71, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. Funeral service will be held at 1PM on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Craig Moore officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Those who desire may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Michael was born on July 24, 1955, in Flint, to the late Robert and Dorothy (Ayres) Boone. He graduated from Hill McCloy High School and went on to work for General Motors, retiring after 30 years of employment. In 1986, Michael met his beloved wife, Ronnie, and the two were married on July 27, 1991, sharing 40 wonderful years together. Michael enjoyed trips to the casino, attending air shows, and keeping up with the Detroit Tigers and Lions – even if it was a love-hate relationship. He was a collector of many things, especially stamps, and enjoyed spending time at the local races and watching NASCAR. Above all, Michael loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael is forever remembered by: Wife, Ronnie; Sons: Jason (Jenny) Boone and Jeff Boone; Stepchildren: Tonya (Jason) Agle, Kenneth Burch, and Robert (Crystal) Freiburger; Grandchildren: Kyle Boone, Kylee Boone, Jacob Burch, and Lisa Burch; Bonus Grandchildren: Kayla Doan and Ayden Doan; Sister, Margie Miller; Grandcat, Reeses; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy, and many beloved family members. |
