Gary Van Gilchrist of Richfield Township, age 71, died Monday March 19, 2018 at his residence. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Gary was born in Flint Michigan on February 16, 1947 the son of the late James & Mildred (VanWormer) Gilchrist and has resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Sandra Webber-Morse on November 24, 1984. Answering the call of his country Gary served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Gary enjoyed painting of scenery and landscapes as a hobby. He had been employed as an Auto Body Repairman at several area Body Shops until his retirement. Surviving is wife Sandra, children Sean Morse, Marcie Britten, Selena Whitaker, and grandchildren; Kayla, Jacob, and Megan. He also leaves his twin sister Nancy (Michael) Campbell, sister Virginia (Norm) Anderson, and brother James Gilchrist.
