RALPH M. ACRE, age 88 of Otter Lake, died Sunday, October 25, 2015. His funeral service will be held at 4PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 12PM-until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Ralph was born on April 6, 1927 in Flint, MI to Ralph and Madeline Acre. He married Aileen May Woodrow on April 4, 1946. Ralph was the owner and operator of the Otter Lake Oil Co. and Lakeville Bowl. He lived in the Lakeville community most of his life. Ralph enjoyed bowling, camping, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Aileen Acre; children: Anita Brown, James (Rose) Acre, and Kenneth (Dawn) Acre; grandchildren: Michael (Tammy) Mize, Bobbi-Jo Mize, Jami Acre, Melissa Wagner, Amanda (Nate) Albertie, Lisa (Ed) Kritzman, Jason Church, Brendan Acre, and Ashley Acre; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Kerr; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Rita Geisenhaver and Winona Gifford; and great-grandson, Ian Mize. |
