POLZIN, Rockwood Albert, "Rocky" - Age 81 of Grand Blanc, passed away, December 15, 2023. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, December 29, 2023 at Church of the Holy Family 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc. Fr. Leronio Vodivodi, Celebrant. Visitation 9:00 AM Friday until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. For those inclined, Memorial Contributions in Rocky's memory would be appreciated to the charity of the donors choice.
Rocky was born March 11, 1942 in Flint, the son of Rockwood August and Marie Bertha (Langlotz) Polzin. He married Donna Jean Pace in Flint on February 19, 1965 celebrating almost 59 years of Marriage together. Rocky graduated from St. Mary High School in Flint. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Rocky was employed as a skilled Tradesman/Electrician with GM for 39 years, retiring in 1999. He truly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Rocky enjoyed staying up to date with technology. He also loved caring for his lawn and working on projects in his garage. Rocky found joy in feeding the birds and other types of "natures creatures" in his back yard so he and Donna could spend time watching them while sharing their breakfast and morning coffee together!
Rocky is survived by, his wife Donna; children, Gretchen (Jim) Ridley, and Brian (Veronica) Polzin; grandchildren, Lyle, Lane, Gabrielle, Joslynn, and Adrieanna; Rocky is also survived by others who love him, Maddy, Karin, and Riley; his sister, Diane (Tom) Chronowski; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and special "little dog," Gatsby.
