FRANCIS DALE ROCK, age 84 of Otisville, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Pastor Shelly Ann Long and Rev. Ann Norton co-officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 2-8PM, with a Masonic and Eastern Star Service at 7PM. Dale was born on October 14, 1933 in Otisville, MI and was the son of Vernon and Susan (Compton) Rock. He was a member of the Richfield United Methodist Church, the Otisville Masonic Lodge 401, where he was Past Master, and the Order of the Eastern Star 282 Nourmahal of Otisville, where he was Past Patron. Dale also held the title of Past Associate Bethel Guardian of Otisville Bethel 63, 32nd degree Mason of the Bay City Sovereign Consistory, Past President of King Solomon Club, Past Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth, Past Watchman of Shepherds of the Flint White Shrine, and Past President of the Otisville Historical Society. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; sister, Donna Johnson; and many special nieces and nephews: Eugene (Jeanne) Carll and Larry (Judy) Carll; and sister-in-law, Shirley Carll. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Elizabeth, Aldon, and Linda Sue. |
