Joy Cloeva Ireland, age 84, of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023.
Joy was a devoted wife to John Ireland, and they were high school sweethearts. Over the years, her and John enjoyed traveling and nature. Along with being a devoted wife, she was a loving mother and grandmother. Joy was both a former Sunday School teacher and an organ player at Davison Meadows Baptist Church (formerly Vassar Park Baptist Church). In her professional life, Joy worked as an income tax preparer until she retired.
Joy leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons John (Andrea), James (Ann) and Jason (Summer); daughter Jennifer; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Joy is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Ireland, daughter Joretta Rynca, son-in-law Gerald Merritt, her parents, and siblings Bobbie and Ronnie.
A visitation for Joy will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. The funeral service for Joy will be on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 1:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, with a one hour visitation prior. Joy will be laid to rest at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI.
