HARRIS, Mr. Otis-age 70, of Flint, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, March 7, 2026 with a 1:30pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Calling hours are 1:00pm-6:00pm Friday, March 6, 2026 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Otis D. Harris was born August 3, 1955 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ocie L. Harris Jr. and Marion L. Harris.
Otis was a lifelong resident of Flint, MI and attended Flint Public Schools. He attended New Creation Church of God. Otis was employed at General Motors for 31 years. Otis loved hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Otis Harris leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Lillie B. Harris of Flint, MI; sons, Marcus D. Harris and Otis D. Harris Jr. both of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Cornell L. Harris, Jasmine Johnson, Raven Harris, Marcus Harris, Jaylah Harris, Bobby Cummings and Torriano Jones; great grandchildren, Derrick, Tejuan, Cornell, Xavier, Carter, Eljay, Deair, Shay Lee and Lavinder; nephews, Howard Leggins, George Leggins, Willis Leggins, Czar Sanders, Kawa Thompson Jr. and Autrey Thompson Jr.; nieces, Marie Douglas, Shenelle Harris, Keytura Stewart, Kuanda Thompson, Nyla Alexander and Azzari Thompson; cousin, Laurance Harris Jr.; in-laws, Christine Leggins, Kawa Thompson, Richard Thompson, Nina Cummings, Autrey and Angel Thompson; best friend, Mosie Watkins; a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by: son, Derrick Harris and brothers, Willie Leggins and Ocie Harris.
