James Herbert Vallaire, Davenport, Florida and Durand Michigan. 84 years old, he passed away August 30, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at Warwick Hills Country Club on October 4th, 2026 at 1pm. A second celebration will be held at Polo Park West clubhouse in Davenport, Florida on January 3rd, 2027 at 1pm.
James Herbert Vallaire was born in Flint, Michigan on January 3rd, 1942. He’s the son of Wilford G. Vallaire and Margaret E. Kelley. He married Emma Lopez on May 1st,1962 beginning a beautiful marriage that would span 64 years and a lifetime of memories. James graduated from Kearsley High School, worked as truck driver, salesperson, and regional district manager in the soft drink industry. James became a snowbird after retirement from Brooks Beverage 7UP, he traveled back and forth from Michigan to Florida. James enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years. In his later years, golf became one of his greatest passions, and over the years he proudly celebrated an extraordinary 14 holes-in-one. James loved music and dancing. He was outgoing, friendly, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a talker, a great friend to many, and someone who genuinely enjoyed people. But above everything else, James loved his family.
James is survived by his loving wife, Emma Vallaire; his son, James Vallaire; his daughter, Kristine McCarty and her husband, Chad McCarty; his daughter-in-law, Kim Vallaire, wife of his late son Richard; and his sister, Yvonne Waldeck.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Vallaire; his daughter-in-law, Jesse Vallaire, wife of his son James; his granddaughter, Brooke Vallaire; his parents, Wilford G. Vallaire and Margaret E. Kelley; and seven of his eight siblings.
James was the proud grandfather of Nicole Vallaire, Richard Vallaire, the late Brooke Vallaire, Alex McCarty, and Andie McCarty, Blake Vallaire, Brendan Vallaire, Evan Vallaire, Harlan Vallaire, and the proud great-grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren. |
