Nagrocki, Regina Marie (Guzak) - Of Fenton formerly of Flint, age 87, died Monday, October 20, 2025 at Warwick Assisted Living in Grand Blanc.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday, October 30, 2025 Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc.
Visitation 9am Thursday at church until the time of the Mass.
Per Regina’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society
Regina was born in Flint, Michigan on September 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Harris) Guzak. She graduated from St. John Vianney Catholic High School and earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State University. She married her beloved husband Wally Nagrocki on February 19, 1990. Regina enjoyed reading, gardening, playing the piano and organ, traveling with her husband and spending time with her friends and family.
Regina spent her entire working career at Mclaren Hospital in Flint where she eventually managed the entire blood bank. After her first year at McLaren, Reginia volunteered as a Medical Tech in Haiti with MEDICO Care from July 1962 until May 1963. Reginia left early due to the hostile situation in Haiti.
Regina published a medical procedure in fundamental laboratory techniques, which she, along with Dr. Caraway were awarded for their achievements from the American Society of Medical Technologist and the Scientific Products Foundation.
Surviving are siblings, Earl Guzak of Grand Blanc, Kathleen Guzak of Fenton and Michael (Dawn) Guzak of Battle Creek;
Two stepchildren, Rick (Mary Ellen) Nagrocki and Sylvia (Jim) Corcoran; step son-in-law, Scott Powers;
Surviving are siblings, Earl Guzak of Grand Blanc, Kathleen Guzak of Fenton and Michael (Dawn) Guzak of Battle Creek;
Two stepchildren, Rick (Mary Ellen) Nagrocki and Sylvia (Jim) Corcoran; step son-in-law, Scott Powers;
Four step-grandchildren, Tim Nagrocki, Katie and Sara Corcoran and Heather Powers;
Nieces and nephews, Amy (Jason) Moon, Richard (Katie) Guzak, Charles (Rachel) Guzak, Krissy (Nick) Johnson, Emilee (Wyatt) Diekman, David (Jodi) Guzak, Eddie Guzak and Lara (Jon) Jones.
4 great nieces and 7 great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wally, brother Robert Guzak, sister-in-law, Diane Guzak and stepdaughter, Theresa Powers.
