Ronald Kent Vernon, age 82, of Corunna, Michigan, died peacefully at his home, and left to meet his savior, on November 15, 2025.
Ron was born on January 11, 1943 to Allan and Aletha (McNally) Vernon in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from New Lothrop High School with the class of 1961. He married the love of his life, M. Kathleen (Kathy) Kildea, on November 12, 1966. They recently celebrated 59 years together.
Ron owned and operated Kipps Barber Shop in Flushing, Michigan as a barber for 57 years. He was fondly known for his sense of humor. His customers came to expect that he would always have a new joke to tell, and he never failed to deliver.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kathy; children, Vaughn (Joyel) Vernon, Jeffrey (Kristine) Vernon, Valorie Vernon; grandchildren, Mallory (Mason) Leed, Langley Vernon, Luke Vernon; first great grandchild due in February; siblings, Chuck (Judy) Vernon, Marsha Anger, Debbie (Rob) Robinson; Brother In-laws, Mick(Sally) Kildea, and Terry Kildea. As well as. many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Vernon; Brother in-law, Dale Anger.
A private graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop, MI.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee County. |
