HODSON, Lowell J, – Of Burton, age 94, died Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lowell was born in Sacred Heart, Minnesota on June 22, 1927, the son of the late Gordon and Cena Hodson.
In 1946 he married Louise in Marion, Indiana
Mr. Hodson was a pipe-fitter with Fisher Body Tank Plant for many years, retiring from GM.
He was Treasurer at Walen’s Grindstone Shores for 12 years.
He loved collecting tractors, especially John Deere, fishing, boating and snowmobiling. Above all else he loved his family.
Surviving are wife, Louise;
children, Toni Patterson, Stephen (Diana) Hodson and Pamela (David) Campbell;
9 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Gordon, sister, Pearl and son-in-law, John Patterson.
