Jeffrey L. Loos, age 65, of Oakley, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at his home.
Jeff was born on October 9, 1960 to Darell and Carol (Dearman) Loos in Owosso, Michigan. He graduated from Chesaning High School with the class of 1978. After graduation, he joined the National Guard. Later, he went on to work various manufacturing jobs, including Thompson Boat and Hare.
Jeff was an avid University of Michigan football fan and an all around sports enthusiast. He loved watching the Lions, Tigers and any other game he could find on TV. He also loved the outdoors and was a frequent hunter. He liked to golf and ride his quad. His family will fondly remember him as their “Joe Dirt”.
Those left to cherish his memory is his twin sister, Kelly (Dennis) Thurston; brother, Joseph (Michelle) Loos; and sister, Samantha (Ken) Ford; son; 2 grandchildren; best friend, Dennis Fulton; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; as well as many other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 20, 2026 at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:upon at the funeral home.
Jeff’s family has requested that everyone wear U of M gear in his honor.
