McAlindon, Harold Paul of Flushing, age 91, died Saturday, August 3, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019, at St. Robert Catholic Church, Fr. Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center in Flint.
Paul was born in Bay City, Michigan on January 3, 1928, the son of James and Anna (Potla) McAlindon. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1950, after which he served in the U.S. Army. He married Mary J. Hayes on September 28, 1957, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Flint. Paul was an engineer at AC Spark Plug for over 30 years. Beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Paul enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing, woodworking and Michigan football.
He is survived by his children, Anne (Tim) Ketner, Mary (Joe) Starrs, Carol (Rick) Lamb; daughter-in-law, Tammy McAlindon; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary N. McAlindon, Janet Hayes, Dorothy Hayes; brother-in-law, Art Nasberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Mary J.; son, Paul K. McAlindon; parents; brothers, James and Donald; father- and mother-in-law, John and Gabrielle Hayes; brothers-in-law, Jack, Bill and Gerry Hayes; sister-in-law, Barbara Nasberg.
