Marcia Joslin Lumm, age 55, of Marlette, MI passed away with family by her side Saturday, June 30, 2018 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI.
She was born January 31, 1963 in Flint, MI daughter of the late Maurice Joslin and Velta (Roper) Brandon. Marcia graduated from Goodrich High School with the Class of 1981. She then attended Mott Community College for Culinary Arts. Marcia married George Lumm July 4, 1992 in Atlas, MI. She worked in the Housekeeping Department at Marlette Regional Hospital for 16 years. Marcia loved spending time with family and friends, her dog Bailey Joseph, and grand puppy Riley David. She enjoyed drawing, arts and crafts and flower gardening.
Marcia is survived by her husband, George Lumm; daughter, Kara Joslin (Jonathan Faulk); step children, Christina Lumm (Ted Mueller) and Eric Pederson; step mother, Orislean Joslin; sister, Marsha Joslin; brother-in-law, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, nieces and nephews, Kassey Shaw, Malyn (Robbie) Marquez, Matthew, Morgan, and Mason Abdulaziz, Kelsey Pritt and Kyle Himes; cousins, Mike Joslin, Cindy Walton and Ron Whithey; aunt, Patsy (Bruce) Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marjorie Garrison, Gary Lumm, Jim (Peggy) Lumm, Carol (John) Rexford, Mike Lumm, Kathy Nichol and Sue (Jim) Grice; several Lumm family nieces, nephews, and cousins; honorary sisters, Pam, Denise, Roxanne, Kim, Diane “Sam”, Kathy and Jeannie; and many more special friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Aiden Parker Joslin; sister, Dawn Abdulaziz; two brothers, Maurice and Marshall Joslin; two aunts, Marlene Roat and Arbutus Walton; cousin, Ricky Withey; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Georgina Lumm; and brother-in-law, Veldon Garrison.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 PM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette and from 9 AM until time of the service Saturday.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette with Pastor Mike Hollenbeck officiating.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
