GALONSKA, James - Of Swartz Creek, age 63, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 4pm Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Carey Chrisco officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to Glioblastoma Research Organization Inc.
Visitation will follow the service until 8pm on Friday.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on January 15, 1960, the son of the late Edward and Nancy (Fetzer) Galonska. He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, Class of 1978. He then graduated from GMI/Kettering in 1982. On May 21, 1983, he married Laurie McCallister. James earned his Masters from U of M Ann Arbor in computer engineering. He was employed as an Engineer at Delphi and became the Purchasing Manager at Warren Tech Center. After retirement, he attended and worked in motorcycle repair at Washtenaw Community College.
Surviving are wife, Laurie;
children, Kelli (Joshua) Pyles, Jennifer (Neil) Ganshorn and Jacquelyn Galonska;
grandchildren, Claire, Elise, Maya and Beau;
grand dog, Lou;
brother, Michael Galonska;
sister, Sandi Galonska;
sisters-in-law, Stephanie (Steven) Gibbs and Debra Black;
brothers-in-law, Martin Wilbur and Bradford Wilbur;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl and sister-in-law, Denise Galonska.
