HOYDIC, Norman Jr. – Of Fenton, age 65, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at St. John Vianney Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint.
Father Matthew Bonk officiating.
Visitation 5-7pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Tuesday at church until the time of the Mass an 11am
A committal service will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Norman was born in Flint, Michigan on July 16, 1959, the son of the late Norm and Diana (Pilara) Hoydic. On June 28, 2021, he married Elizabeth Barker. Norman was a police officer with the City of Flint Police Department serving for 30 years. He was honored with the title of Sergeant. Norman was a loving husband, father, son. Norman loved nothing more than his family. He was often described as a “peacemaker”.
Surviving are wife, Elizabeth;
daughter, Brooke; son, Joshua;
step-children, Rachel and Jeremy Frey.
brother, Michael (Karen) Hoydic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Hoydic and mother, Diana.
