REYNOLDS, Gerald E. – Of Flint, age 87, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 12pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Gerry was born in Rector, Arkansas on April 8, 1939, the son of the late Rudolph and Ruby (Crain) Reynolds. He enlisted in the Air Force at 17 years old. He was stationed in Kirksville, Missouri where he met Karen, his wife of 66 years. Gerry loved his family and was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was baptized and later ordained as Deacon. His best times were with his family. Gerry enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren just spending time with them. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, yardwork or just feeding the birds. Gerry’s favorite hobby was woodworking. He retired from General Motors as a Millwright after 35 years. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Surviving are wife, Karen Reynolds;
Daughters, Christina Prevo and Cathy Brown (SIL) Steve;
Grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Levi and Sarah;
Great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandra, Isabelle, Kaylee, Marleana, Chloe, Olivia P., Haizlee, Vera, Liam, Olivia G and Luka.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bueford Reynolds, sister, Nancy Stimac, and great-grandchildren, Grant and Nickolas Prevo.
