Schack, Muriel B. of Flushing, age 78, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Pastor J.J. Mannschreck will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the service.
Muriel was born in Flint, Michigan on March 26, 1940, the daughter of the late William and Lily (Reynolds) Hunter. She married Lawrence Schack on July 22, 1961, in Flint. Muriel graduated from U of M-Flint. She was a teacher in Flushing Community Schools for 10 years. Muriel was a member of Flushing United Methodist Church and the Friends of the Flushing Public Library. She was a beautiful piano player and an avid reader. She will be remembered by her strength and determination, humble and quiet spirit.
Muriel is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lawrence; daughters, Jennifer and husband Peter Trudelle, Melissa and husband Travis Whalen; grandchildren, Gavin, Peter, Jillian, Carys, Ayden Trudelle, Hunter Whalen; brother, Alan and wife Sandy Hunter. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel in 1982 and grandson, Ethan Trudelle.
