Rader, Vernice C., age 95, of Flushing, went to be with our Lord Sunday, January 28, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass will be 11 am, Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Fr. James Mangan will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 pm Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 am Friday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Vernice was born in Flint, Michigan on September 8, 1922, the daughter of Leander and Rachel (Bemis) Warren. She married Donald J. Rader in Fostoria, Michigan on February 9, 1946. They were married for 49 years. He preceded her in death in January, 1996. She was an accountant for General Motors for 25 years. After retiring, she spend the winters in Florida, where she enjoyed golfing. She loved to spend time with her family; she was adored by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for her sense of humor and zest for life.
Vernice is survived by her two children, son, Donald and wife Carol Rader, daughter, Karen (Rader) and husband Andy Suski; grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Rader, Stacy and Tony Parillo, Stephanie and Scott Stanley, Christy and Jason Lord, and Andy Suski; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Russ Berryman; her parents; and 3 brothers. The family of Vee Rader wishes to thank her loving caregivers; Heather, Deb, Pam, Sandy and Kim; special thanks to Hurly Medical Center.
