BISTRICKY, Opal Rae – of Grand Blanc, age 87, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Brookdale of Grand Blanc. Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI with Pastor Patrick England officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bistricky was born October 24, 1927 in Farwell, Michigan the daughter of the late Walter and Olive Badger. She married John W. Bistricky on June 21, 1947 in Clare, Michigan and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1999. Mrs. Bistricky was a member of the Grand Blanc United Methodist Church. She had been a member of the Flint Elks Lodge and the American Legion. She also had served as a volunteer with the McLaren Hospital Auxillary. Surviving are: sons, Larry (Linda) Bistricky, Kirt (Nathalie) Bistricky, David (Kimberly) Bistricky; daughter, Deborah Chrystal; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Kaber and Rose (Robert) Perry; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bistricky was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie, sisters, Donna Croswhite and Priscilla Graber.
