Ellen Claypool, age 92, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her residence. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Ellen was born on December 3, 1930 in Morehouse, Missouri to the late Luther Watson and Lena Jones. She worked for several years for GM before her retirement. Ellen was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Raymond) Alfaro and Rhonda (Les) Conley; 4 grandchildren, Matt Polovina, Christy Babin, Melissa Sayles and Stephanie (Will) Michaels; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Virgie Wangler; and special nephew, Garry Watson. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; father, Luther Watson, Mother, Lena (William) Jones; children, John Fain and Karen Polovina; and 9 brothers and sisters.
