Stallings, Betty Ann of Flushing, age 89, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday, July 13, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Pastors Richard Rossow and David Kreuger will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11 a.m. on Monday at the church until the time of the service at 12 noon.
Betty was born in Flint, Michigan on October 7, 1936, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Moeller) Eisner. She graduated from Dye High School, class of 1954. She played softball in high school as a catcher while her longtime best friend, Bev Foster was the pitcher. They also played basketball together. Betty received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, majoring in Education and Physical Education. She began her career as a teacher at Michigan School for the Deaf before starting her family and raising her four daughters. Betty was wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed helping her daughters with 4H, canning, and tending to her flowers. Betty was supportive of all her daughter's sporting events. She loved the outdoors and spending time in nature, including skiing and ice skating and being involved with the National Ski Patrol Angels. She was an avid Michigan State University fan and huge fan of the Olympic games. Betty was an active and faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Altar Guild. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and her family meant everything to her.
Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years, James; daughters, Julie Stallings, Jill and husband Nick Economides, Judy and husband David Zei; son-in-law, Jim Stahl; grandchildren, Alex and Austin; and several adored nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Stahl; siblings, Alan Eisner and Helen Menzel; and her parents.
