WEDDINGTON, Berneda Grace - Of Flushing, age 96, died Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Charter Senior Living.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12Noon Friday, September 5, 2025 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint. Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the Mass.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Mausoleum.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Berneda was born in Caro, Michigan on October 31, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Hazel Gotham, and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life. She married N. Keith Weddington on September 19, 1998. She was a graduate of St. Mary High School. She was a member of St. John Vianney catholic Church and IBG. Berneda was employed by Buick Motor Division in the Salaried Payroll, Insurance and Taxes Department for 28 years, retiring in 1986. Berneda’s true joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving are son in law, Allen Buchalski;
sister in law, Margaret Kildee;
Grandchildren, Nathan Buchalski, Ryan (Melissa) Buchalski and Meghan (John) Starkel;
great-grandchildren, Ella, Phoenix and Dylan Buchalski and Ayden Bryl;
her extended family, The Gaffney Family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen (Kildee) Buchalski, first husband, Ken Kildee; second husband, Robert Fowley; third husband, N. Keith; her parents; and her brother, Billy Gotham.
