LOOK, Beverly Jean “Jeannie”- Of Flint, age 86, departed this life suddenly Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at McLaren-Flint after a brief illness.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held 1pm Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Roy Horning officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital or Holy Rosary Catholic School.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 12pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Beverly was born in Flint on January 17, 1930, daughter of the late Herbert Harvey and Addie Dowland. She was united in marriage to Jackie Look on June 7, 1953. Beverly was employed at Pure Seal Dairy, Winchester Hospital and General Motors. A Union and political activist at UAW Local #581, Beverly did much to advance the rights of working people and society’s downtrodden. Beverly dearly loved her family who enjoyed her free spirit and wicked wit. A Catholic education was a priority for her children and grandchildren who cannot thank her enough for making it possible. Along with her reading, crocheting, antiquing, and flowers. She loved her Detroit Tigers, especially Justin Verlander.
Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory, Daughter, Kimberly Princing, son, Sean Lucan;
Grandchildren, Brandon (Beth) Look, Gina (Ron) Floria, Krista Floria, Daniel Yaklin, Kimberlynn (Joe) Gilmet;
Great-grandchildren, Brandon (Jenna) O’Bryan, Jackie Floria, Zachary (Lisa) Floria, Alivia Floria, Brittany Look and Hunter Look;
Great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden Floria, Natilyn O’Bryan;
Brothers, Jackie (Mickie) Harvey, Rick Riess;
Several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at McLaren, MediLodge, and for the outpouring of well wishes, love and comfort from all during this very difficult time.
