Bonnie V. Schmidt age 71 of Durand passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Memorial Healthcare Center. A memorial service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and one hour prior to the service.
Bonnie Lamphere was born July 27, 1947 in Owosso, MI a daughter of Barney and Vivian (Williams) Lamphere. She attended Owosso High School. On February 17, 1978 she married Richard Schmidt. Bonnie enjoyed playing poker, card games, word search, cooking, movies, Elvis Presley, Detroit Tiger's baseball and spending time with her friends and family. Prior to her retirement in 2014, she had been employed by Genesee Stamping, Becker Manufacturing and Tender Care home care.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard Schmidt; son, Jerry Schmidt; 4 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Graham; sister, Sharon Gillett; and brothers, Hiram and Carl Lamphere.
