DRINKWINE, WANDA LEE – of Flint, age 70, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. A Memorial Service will be celebrated 3 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Sherry Pickett will officiate. Family will receive visitors Thursday 1PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the family.
Wanda was born in Tawas City, MI on October 24, 1950, daughter of the late William and Claudine (Scharrer) Simmons. She loved going to Bingo and having the grandkids and great grandchildren over. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Wanda was always there for her neighbors and she even answered the calls in the middle of the night if someone was in need of an ear to listen or a ride home. She was enjoying fishing these last couple of years as a hobby and was pretty good at it. We will miss her ribs and baked beans at our family gatherings; she will be dearly missed by many.
Wanda is survived by her children, Dale Drinkwine, Tina (Patrick) Wooley; grandchildren, Brandy (Sam) Beauchesne, Clarissa Thomas and Alexandrea Wooley; great-grandchildren, Riley, Sophia and Amethyst; siblings, Joan (Roy) Phillips, Ruth Hyde, Lonnie (Nettie) Simmons, Randy Simmons and Kim Simmons and many other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by sisters, Rose and Mabel, brothers, Richard and Ray.
