Michael "Mike" F. Swedorski, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 25, 2025.

Born on March 14, 1940, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Frank and Harriet (Merrill) Swedorski, Mike's life was a testament to the values of kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness that he embodied.

Mike was a proud graduate of Mt. Morris High School. Following his education, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, a period of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and camaraderie. After his military service, Mike dedicated many years to the Flint Buick Plant, where he formed lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues.  They moved to Gladwin in 2000 and retired in 2006, where he continued to lead a life full of activity and community involvement.

In Toledo, Ohio, on May 4, 2001, Mike married the love of his life, Beverly Cutcher. Together, they created a beautiful family, including children Michael (Lynette LaBarge), Darren (Kellie) Swedorski, and William (Amy) Stevens. Mike's joy was multiplied with the arrival of his 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and cherished every moment spent with.

Mike's siblings, Pat Newcomb, Gerald and Kathy Swedorski, Doug and Sue Swedorski, and Dennis and Mary Swedorski, will fondly remember their brother for his unwavering support and the close bonds they shared throughout their lives.

An active member of the Burton Eagles, Mike enjoyed the camaraderie and community service the organization provided. His hobbies and interests were a reflection of his love for life; he was an avid puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed boating, and looked forward to trips to the casino. Mike and his wife also relished their travels to Florida, where they basked in the sunshine, and their adventures on cruises, exploring new horizons together.

Those who knew Mike will remember him as a man who always put others before himself. His kind demeanor, thoughtful gestures, and selfless actions left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Mike's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Military Honors and interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery Monday, September 22, 2025 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Max Hayden presiding.
